Maria was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to U.S. when she was 11 years-old. Before joining Pixar, she had worked in Activision as a concept/texture artist for several games. She received Master of Fine Arts degree in Computer Arts from Academy of Arts University, San Francisco, California. She also had earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration from School of Visual Arts, New York City. Currently Maria works @ Pixar Animation Studios as a shading designer and character shading artist. She had worked on numerous movies including Ratatouille, Walle, Up, Brave, The Good Dinosaur, Finding Dory, Coco and Incredibles 2.
Maria enjoys painting portraits from life.
